Lavender Deodorant

Works fine but this smells so strongly of honey it's insane! The smell gets all over my clothes as well. I'm afraid to wear it now it's spring - I think I would be a bee magnet!

It’s very wet when you apply it , doesn’t last long either after a few hours the lavender scent mixed with the sweat made me smell a lot worse than if I wasn’t using any deodorant I definitely would not buy it again but that’s what I get for trying to be health conscious and stay away from aluminium deodorants 🗿

I recommend, just that it doesn't dry quickly but that's not a problem to me

This product smells nice and I thought I was doing the right thing purchasing an organic, vegan product recommended by the Yuka app. At the end of the first day of use, my armpits were soo itchy and red. I believe it's caused me to have an allergic reaction. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but thought it best to make people aware. I do have sensitive skin but I've never had this happen to my armpits before with any other underarm product. I even give it the benefit of the doubt and didn't use for a few days, then tried again but the same thing happened again.

I was keen to start using aluminium free deodorant and being a big fan of lavender, I bought this. It smells lovely going on and dries quite quickly. It didn’t irritate. However, I won’t be buying this again as by mid-afternoon my pits were smelling sweaty; quite unpleasantly.

Be aware that there has recently been a change in the formulation. I had an allergic reaction. Have purchased in the past with no issues so I emailed Dr Organic directly and this is what they said:

"We recently made some minor changes to this products formulation so that we could independently certify it to the COSMOS Organic standard. They are the leading global organic standard for the beauty industry, providing independent validation and certification for the ingredients we use and the products we create. Because organic ingredients are grown in ways that protect the planet, that means our products are better for both your skin and the planet.
However, skin reactions can still occur as some of the most common ingredients in cosmetics that can trigger allergic reactions are fragrances - including the natural essential oils we use as alternatives to synthetic perfumes. You’ll see these listed on our ingredient labels either as "Parfum" or by their specific Latin names, like Citrus limon (lemon) peel oil or Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil. Pure essential oils contain naturally occurring compounds such as limonene, citral, and linalool. These have been identified as potential allergens for a small number of people. However, we always use essential oils at safe levels and in line with strict UK and EU cosmetic regulations.
Please accept our apologies if this has affected your experience. We would not recommend continued use of the product and hope that the reaction has now subsided. In future we would advise you to perform a patch test 24hours prior to full use of a new cosmetic product to ensure there is no sensitivity."

Used once and caused immediate stinging, redness and then itching. Had to wash off immediately and even next morning I am uncomfortable. Will never buy again.

I only use this at night, it smells wonderful and lasts really well

I wanted so much to love this but I didn’t get on with it at all. I found the smell startlingly strong and it stayed wet and sticky all day.

First on came broken and leaking, honestly looked used!!! but the package it was packed in was fine! then asked for a replacement and it never came so I definitely do not recommend!!!

works perfect. I experience a lot of skin irritation but not with this. Much rather prefer a lavender smell over those strong sure deodorants. I'm really happy with my purchase and the fact that it is natural, effective and lasts a long time. Will be buying again <3

I very rarely leave a review but I used this and under my armpits went bright red anywhere the deodorant had touched and it really irritated my skin. I don’t tend to be sensitive so I’m wondering if it was the lavender aspect but I cannot use the product

Lovely smell but I find my pits don't feel dry as I go through the day and it definitely does not stop me from sweating. Won't be buying again.

Smell immediately put me off, so I have ordered another brand straight away. Have to say that the smell has disappeared after few hours but too late……….smell initially is horrible!

As soon as I’ve used it, my skin became red, saw and uncomfortable. I should have listen to other reviews! Clearly there’s something in it that causes this reaction so be mindful when purchasing. Luckily I got a discount when I purchased as it’s going straight into the bin!

For context: I am a 50 year old female who only does gentle exercise, I am allergic to many chemicals that are in skin products. I like other Dr Organic products which is why I decided to try this deodorant. I trialled it for a month (I nearly used the whole bottle). I found it kept me fresh for about half a day. It feels sticky on the skin. I didn't like the slightly sour coconut smell. It also has given me a rash, (possibly caused by the limonene) which convinced me it was not for me.

Very nice product. Lovely fresh perfume. Effective and doesn't stain clothing.

Like this one better than the tea tree

Having researched a natural deodorant thoroughly Dr Organic Lavender ticked all the boxes. Rave reviews everywhere. I did not hesitate to order lavender as I know I'm ok with it - I use it all the time in many forms.
I did a patch test on my arm the evening I received my deodorant which was fine - and used it under my arms shortly after my shower the following day. I had an immediate reaction - my armpits and surrounding area were very red and irritated. I washed it off immediately, used nappy rash cream and took an antihistamine tablet and thankfully it settled down by lunchtime. I don't consider myself a 'sensitive skin person' - but there must be something in this deodorant that my body doesn't like. Such a shame - as there so many positive reviews for this product and I'm sure many more purchasers won't have a problem. Just one of those things. More research needed on this subject for me before I make the shift to a natural deodorant.

Favourite deodorant, beautiful happy scent. A staple for many moons. Isn’t ideal for very hot weather but I don’t mind.

This works really well. The smell is really nice and the roller works really efficiently. I used the Manuka honey one and will definitely continue to buy this particular one. I feel it keeps me very fresh.

Natural is a nice idea but unfortunately, it doesn't stop odour.

The reason for trying it though was because I’ve been using the weleda spray deodorant which is great, but I was looking for something cheaper. Not used a roll-on in years so I found that this one took ages to dry and there isn’t much of a smell to be honest. I also found that if you’re hot and you sweat it seems to reactivate the deodorant and you end up with the sticky armpits that you get upon first application which is rather uncomfortable, and I’ve never had this with other deodorants as I’m not particularly sweaty. I didn’t smell so it does work in that respect but I don’t think I will buy it again - i think I will Stick with the weleda one or go for the crystal deodorant.

Great smell and seems to keep odours at bay, slight residue left after applying but nothing excessive. My only gripe is the inconsistent pricing listed here.
