What a lovely lightweight product this 30ml bottle of Dr Organic Skin Calm Probiotic Protection Serum is. It is aimed at skin that has issues with being red, dry, sensitive and irritable. I have all of these issues and find this serum very soothing on my skin. I only need a few drops of the serum to smooth all over my face and I let it dry in before I move onto the next step in my skin care routine. The serum promises 24hour moisture and as the day progresses my skin continues to feel hydrated. I like the organic natural ingredients in this serum, it is fragrance free, has great vegan and eco-friendly credentials it is good value and suits my skin well.
Serum calmante sin perfume, colorantes ni ningún tipo de componente irritante.
Muy buena cosmética orgánica low cost.
Didn't last a week.
I tried this because
1) it was a third of the price of the Body Shop serum I love, and
2) Dr. Organics probiotic face mask is heavenly, so gentle and not fragranced.
Unfortunately, I just can’t get on with this product. It smells like rubbing alcohol to me. It feels sticky. I gave it a chance and have been trying to use it for a while, but it didn’t feel like it was working and was an unpleasant part of my skincare routine.
Nice product feels nice on my skin and isn’t drying
This "serum" is very watery and unpleasant to use. My face was incredibly dry and I had to wash it off. Do not recommend!
A product that supposedly helps sensitive skin gave me a horrible flare up. Skin was like a flapjack
Was hydrating and had nice texture but didn't really solve any redness and irritation
This serum is packed with probiotics which are meant to help support skin barrier function they my research. As a result, redness caused by irritation like over exfoliation or a reaction are the kinds of redness it may be able to help reduce over time.
I've been using this in my routine where I use exfoliants to help even out my tone. I've not had any reactions, it feels fine on the skin and dries down well. I feel it's helped my skin to not look as red and reduce since redness around my nose. It's a nice serum that I'll continue to use x
Easy to apply
It smells nasty, and I heavily break out in spots even when I don’t apply moisturiser after.
On the plus side: it’s not sticky or greasy, it’s fantastic at moisturising and gets rid of my dry skin, there’s a ton of product and you don’t need to use much and it absorbs immediately. The consistency is similar to a toner- it’s not as thick as my other serums and I really like that.
I have a combination of dry and oily skin so maybe this product just isn’t suitable for me which is a shame. If I didn’t get so many spots then I could deal with the smell because it goes away within half a minute, but I still wish it smelt better because it’s seriously unpleasant
My son can get some flaky redness around his hairline and in a few other spots, so we were looking for something that he could use to hydrate those areas without causing irritation. He can use this without adding to the problem as it seems to have gentle ingredients, although it's hard to say whether it has reduced the issue as it comes and goes of its own accord.
He finds it easy to use from the dropper and it sinks in without looking like he has skincare products on.
It's a brand I'm familiar with so it feels like we can trust this skincare so I find the price about right. It will last a while as a little seems to go a long way.
This serum which is to help your skin in nearly any situation seems to work well at moisturising the skin. It also seems to mitigate itching if it occurs. Would recommend.
This serum absorbs well into my skin without leaving a sticky residue.
Skin feels soft and hydrated.
This serum comes in a bottle with a pipette to apply. It's quite runny but absorbs well into my skin. It has quite a distinctive smell - not the best. The serum does soften the skin and keep it in good condition, but it doesn't have quite as much impact as some other serums I've used.
This is a really nice lightweight serum, very easy to apply you only need a small amount, its light on the skin and absorbs well, leaves skin feeling soft and glowing
I really like the packaging of this serum. You get 30ml of product in a well designed glass bottle. Thanks to the pipette dispensing the serum is easy. The product is water based so very lightweight and I found it very hydrating. It sinks into the skin in no time without leaving any residue. The scent is
pleasant without being overpowering. A good budget serum for the warmer months.
This is a review for the Dr Organic Skin Calm Probiotic Protection Serum. Unfortunately, after multiple uses of this product, I've seen no improvement in my skin. It has a rather unpleasant smell, and I'm reluctant to continue to use it now that the weather is getting warmer as I'm concerned people will be able to smell it on me.
It is nicely lightweight and absorbs fairly well, but I haven't really found anything positive beyond this.
This serum is easy to apply although it is quite thin. It quickly sinks into my skin and I can apply my moisturiser over it. The serum doesn’t upset my sensitive skin. I don’t notice any visible difference but my skin does feel softer.
I’m not a fan of the smell of this product, but I am enjoying using it. I find a need a good few drops to apply to my face, but it soaks in well without leaving any stickiness or greasiness. No adverse reactions. And my skin is feeling nice.
This is a lovely serum for my sensitive skin. I use it daily and it really helped to restore hydration and reduce redness after I used a harsher product on my sensitive skin. It is perfect if you have skin like mine that gets irritated by products easily. It stays nicely on the skin and slowly absorbs. Ideal for night time routine where you don't need to apply any make up on top, allowing it time to work.
This comes boxed, with the serum itself inside a 30ml glass bottle with pipette dropper. It’s designed for “dry, stressed & problem skin”, which describes mine lately! I don’t think I’ve used a specific prebiotic or probiotic serum before so I was curious what it would be like. Sadly I’m a bit disappointed.
It’s supposed to “rebalance” the skin, protect the microbiome and rebuild the natural barrier, restoring moisturise and leaving skin soft and healthy. I think the info the brand gives seems to focus a lot on the eco credentials rather than how this works and what it does for skin problems beyond just moisturising. It sounds like it should help with redness, and I was especially interested in that.
It’s an oily type of consistency to apply but I don’t need to use much per application as a little goes a reasonable way. It absorbs fairly quickly without residue and it’s lightweight, though it does leave a little shine for a short while after. There’s nothing off-putting about it for me, though there’s nothing really appealing about it either unfortunately.
I don’t know if this has really done much for my skin if I’m quite honest. Maybe it needs longer to work. It perhaps does make my skin feel a touch softer, but it sadly hasn’t helped with redness at all like it claims to, and that’s what I’d hoped to target with using this serum.
I like that it’s cruelty-free, and free of nasties like parabens. It’s also vegan and uses organic, plant based ingredients, for those who’re interested. But you can only speak as you find and unfortunately I found this rather underwhelming; while it might moisturise a little, it doesn’t seem any better than what I’ve used previously and it didn’t reduce any redness for me, so I wouldn’t rush to use again personally.
I use this serum together with same line daily cream. I find this serum to be lightweight and skin absorbs it well. I keep serum in a fridge and applying chilled serum to the skin in the morning gives nice sensation. Skin feels well hydrated.
I must say it is important to me that creams are paraben free and organic. If you not fussed with these things then you will have more companies to choose from. In my opinion at the price that this serum is sold at present it is very good budget organic serum.
This is a really nice serum to use twice a day, it sinks it easily and dries pretty much instantly and I follow it with my usual moisturiser.
It doesn't have much of a smell to it and importantly doesn't make my skin all sore and red like many products!
It’s quite expensive, but you only use a few drops at a time, and I do feel like my skin looks better for using it.
This is quite mild and pleasant. It does leave my skin feeling a little more clean and refreshed.
I'm 55 and my skin didn't really get on with this. I didn't think it provided me with the amount of moisture that I needed (the skin changes so much after you've turned 50...) but my younger work colleague loves it. She's 42 and for her, it's worked wonders. It's sorted her redness out and her skin no longer feels dry, taught or irritated.
I have quite dry, sensitive skin, just the type that this serum is aimed at. I’ve found it really pleasant to use. The lightweight formula absorbs very easily into my skin without leaving any residue. It hadn’t caused any irritation to my skin and has left it feeling hydrated. It has a very subtle but nice scent.
It’s also presented very nicely in a glass bottle with a pipette. I really like that the product is cruelty free and uses natural ingredients too.
